Microsoft Azure Cloud Credits — $300, $1,000 & $5,000

Back to Build, Automate & Deploy ↗.

Azure is Microsoft’s cloud platform. Instead of buying and maintaining a physical server, you can create resources such as virtual machines, databases and storage, then pay for the resources your project uses.

Cloud credits can make a development or learning project easier to test, but they are a balance to manage—not unlimited computing power. Choose the resource you need before choosing the largest credit amount.

Available ShreeTools offers

$300 Azure Credits: 3 months validity · 2 months warranty · supplied account. Root-email and 2FA control are not included.

$1,000 Azure Credits: 3 months validity · 2 months warranty · supplied account. Root-email and 2FA control are not included.

$5,000 Azure Credits: 3 months validity · 2 months warranty · supplied account with root-email access and 2FA control included.

These amounts are cloud-credit balances. They are not monthly grants, cash withdrawals or a promise of access to every Azure product. The validity and warranty periods are different; the third month of stated validity does not create a third month of warranty.

What you can use it for

A developer can test an application deployment, learn infrastructure management, run a small database-backed service or practise a cloud architecture with sample data. Start with a small resource configuration and inspect usage before scaling it.

Confirm the exact service, region, quota and subscription eligibility you need before ordering. A credit balance alone does not guarantee GPU availability, access to a particular AI model or approval for a restricted service.

A smarter way to use this: make a cloud lab that stops consuming compute when you finish

The expensive mistake is assuming that closing a remote-desktop window or shutting down the operating system means the virtual machine is no longer billed.

  1. Keep a learning experiment in its own clearly named resource group and use only non-sensitive test data.
  2. Start with a small VM and record the resources created with it, including disks and networking.
  3. When finished, use Azure’s controls to deallocate the VM and verify Stopped (Deallocated). A VM that is merely Stopped (Allocated) can still incur compute charges.
  4. Review the remaining resources. Disks and networking can continue to incur charges even after compute is deallocated. Back up anything needed before removing a disposable experiment.
  5. Add a suitable budget alert and inspect actual usage. Where you configure shutdown automation, test it rather than assuming an alert itself will stop the workload.

This makes the credit balance more useful for repeated experiments instead of leaving idle machines running. Do not apply shutdown or deletion rules blindly to a production service or a shared resource group.

Credit restrictions and account control

The exact promotional subscription determines which charges credits cover and what happens when the balance or period ends. For example, Azure’s published Sponsorship terms exclude items such as support plans, third-party Marketplace products and separately sold products. Do not assume this account is a particular sponsorship programme, or that every checkout is covered, without checking its actual offer terms.

Never add a payment method, remove a spending limit or convert to pay-as-you-go without understanding the resulting billing responsibility. Do not use credits for prohibited activity or try to bypass subscription restrictions.

The lower-credit accounts do not give you root-email or 2FA control. Treat that as a real ownership and recovery limitation. Even the higher-control option should be checked for the actual tenant roles and permissions delivered. Keep important data and recovery material independently; do not make a short-term supplied account the only home of a critical business system.

Activation and first checks

This is a supplied-account offer, not an own-account coupon. ShreeTools provides the agreed account access. Sign in through Microsoft’s official portal, confirm the credit balance and relevant dates, and verify the access controls included with your selected option.

Check billing visibility, service eligibility and quotas before deploying. Follow the delivered account instructions; do not assume an own-card checkout or a transfer into your personal Azure account is included.

Warranty and support

All three options retain 3 months validity and 2 months warranty. Covered issues follow Warranty, Support & Refund Policy ↗. Usage exhaustion, optional paid services and customer-authorised overages are different from a covered activation failure.
