Back to Build, Automate & Deploy ↗.
Warp is a terminal with AI assistance. It is useful when your work involves commands, code, logs and development environments, and you want help understanding what is happening rather than copying an unexplained command from a search result.
A developer can investigate a failed build, work through a repository or run a controlled change. A beginner can learn from those explanations, but should still understand a command before giving it access to important files or a live server.
What this offer includes
Warp Build for 1 year, activated with a coupon on your own account.
Build remains a named option in the current public comparison, which lists 1,500 monthly AI credits and an included agent-usage allowance. Check the unit and balance displayed in your redeemed account; Warp’s current packaging also describes usage at model API rates rather than treating every request as equal.
Included monthly usage resets every 30 days. Separately purchased reload credits can carry forward and remain valid for 12 months. A reload balance is not the same as monthly included credit.
Do not assume the offer covers Max, Business, Enterprise controls, additional paid seats or unrestricted cloud-agent resources. Confirm the account/workspace entitlement before inviting teammates or enabling extra usage.
A smarter way to use this: create a diagnostic profile that cannot casually apply the fix
When a command fails, the first useful job is to understand it. You can give an agent room to investigate while keeping changes under your control.
- Create a dedicated Agent Profile for diagnosis. Set code-diff application to Never or Always ask, and command execution to Always ask.
- Give the agent the relevant error and a narrow goal: identify the likely cause, show the evidence, and propose the smallest test. Do not hand over an entire log containing secrets unnecessarily.
- Review each proposed command. Check its working directory, target account and whether it reads or changes data. Be especially careful with shell substitutions, redirects and commands that contact external servers.
- For an interactive process, use Always ask for writes to that process. “Ask on first write” can authorise subsequent interactions with the same process, so it is not the same safeguard.
- Once the cause is clear, make a checkpoint or backup and approve the specific repair. Re-run the original failing test, then inspect the diff.
This is useful for learning and for investigating a project you do not know well. The result should be an explanation and a small justified change, not a large unexplained rewrite.
Permission controls reduce risk; they do not make every allowed command harmless. A broadly written allowlist can still permit actions you did not intend. Use narrow permissions and read the actual command.
Usage and privacy details
Long contexts, premium models, repeated investigations and cloud-agent work can consume more than a short question. Review usage and the available spend cap before enabling reloads. With BYOK, your model provider can bill you directly; supplying a key does not mean the provider’s tokens are free.
Do not paste credentials into ordinary prompts or public terminal output. Review which files, connected tools and MCP servers an agent can access. A terminal agent may be able to act with the permissions of the account running it.
First setup
Install the official app, sign in to the intended account and verify Build. Start in a disposable test project. Configure the diagnostic profile, run a harmless example and review the proposed commands before moving to real work.
