Wispr Flow turns speech into text in the app you are already using. The useful part is not only typing faster. You can explain the context you would otherwise leave out because writing it felt like too much work.
For example, instead of sending “please change the landing page,” you can explain who the page is for, what feels wrong, what should stay, and what a good result would look like. That gives the person—or the AI tool—a much better starting point.
What this offer is

Dictation is available on supported Mac, Windows, iOS and Android devices. Features and controls differ by platform. Current Notetaker access is a separate consideration: it runs on Mac and Windows, and Pro’s higher meeting-note limits and retention should not be described as permanently unlimited Notetaker access.
Who will get the most use from it?
Founders explaining decisions, professionals writing detailed messages, students drafting ideas, and developers describing a bug or a change can all benefit. It is especially useful when you think more clearly aloud than you do while trying to type and organise the sentence at the same time.
Use it for a first draft, an email, a support explanation or a detailed AI prompt. Still read the result before sending. Names, numbers, negation and specialist terms deserve particular attention.
A smarter way to use this: speak a reusable brief, then add only what changed
Most people use dictation to replace typing. Snippets let you stop repeating the same context altogether.
- Open Snippets in Flow and create a distinctive trigger such as “proposal brief structure.”
- Save the text you repeatedly need: your audience, required sections, constraints, and a reminder to use only supplied facts. Keep it generic enough to reuse safely.
- In your writing or AI app, speak the trigger to insert that saved text. Then dictate the customer-specific facts underneath it.
- Add frequently misheard company names, product names and technical terms to Dictionary. Use a correction rule when the same wrong spelling keeps appearing.
- Review the complete brief before submitting. Replace placeholders and remove any instruction that does not apply this time.
For a developer, the snippet could contain “expected behaviour, actual behaviour, reproduction steps and files involved.” For a consultant, it could contain a proposal structure. The payoff is consistent, detailed input without reciting a whole template every time.
Personal snippets are also available on Basic; Pro’s value is not exclusive ownership of that feature. The documented snippet limit is 60 characters for a trigger and 4,000 for its expansion. Snippet support is documented for Mac, Windows and iOS; do not assume every desktop control is available on every phone. Shared team entries and admin controls depend on the active organisation plan.
First setup
Install the official app, sign in to the account you intend to upgrade, and allow the permissions needed for your device. Test a short paragraph in a non-sensitive note. Set a comfortable shortcut, teach Flow a few important names, and create one snippet you will genuinely reuse.
Review privacy, history and model-training settings before dictating confidential material. Do not assume dictation is fully offline or that deleting text from the destination also deletes every retained history item.
